PAIKE JA PILV is an Estonia children’s books publisher that was established in 2005. Their goal is to publish high-quality original children’s books for all ages, from small children to teens. And being very selective with their projects has brought prestigious awards to a number of titles. They cooperate closely with The Center of Estonian Children’s Literature as regards their early readers’ series and also other events. Together with The Estonian Cultural Ministry they also organise a biannual competition for books for young readers.
Päike ja Pilv is a member of the Estonian Publishers’ Association and their books have almost all received critical acclaim and success with readers and literary circles alike. They are also internationally recognized. In 2015 “The Pigeon That Doesn’t Like White Bread (“Tiu and the Dove “) by Kristi Kangilaski was included in The White Ravens catalogue and “The Dream Train” by Triin Soomets was selected to IBBY 2016 catalogue.
